I am a mom of five beautiful and interesting children. At 29 I finally realized that even though parenting is fulfilling and rewarding it is not the entire basis for my existence. I am in desperate need of creative expression. An outlet for all the infamous knowledge that comes from raising five very different people. A way to let the world know that even though I may have been gone for a while I am not lost.

Well, I notice that you have five children. Anyway, my husband and I have made the choice to start a family. We started trying to conceive (ttc) last month. I’m just worried though. We have never used protection during our entire 4.5 year marriage. Although we’ve always abstained from sex during my fertile times, I still have this nagging fear that we might not be able to have kids. I went and saw the doctor and she said everything was fine with me and that it’s perfectly reasonable for me to not have gotten pregnant using natural family planning. Anyway, what were your experiences on ttc? How long did you have to try?
